At the Maine Cat Lab, we study feline cognition, behavior, and personality — and how these traits relate to human–cat relationships.

Our research helps uncover the ways cats think, feel, and respond to their environments — both physical and social. Whether it’s understanding how cats recognize people or how personality traits differ across individuals, our work aims to bring cats into the scientific spotlight they deserve.

We’ve been posting our results to our YouTube channel, which (for the time being) is the best way to find out more about them.
